Riding the solo train for this episode as I read off some of the hundreds of heartbreaking messages I've been receiving from Hot Mess Teacher Express listeners/teachers about their struggles this school year. We praise an amazing superintendent that recently created a 3-day weekend for her staff and students' mental health and well-being. YES! And then I share a few stories of frustrating "gifts with puns" given to teachers by leadership with the intentions of boosting morale, but falling short.
