42. Postgraduate Medicine (Open Pod: University of Warwick)
How To Become A Doctor - A podcast by Medic Mentor - Mondays
In this Open Pod episode, Ciara and Lucy interview Bhavdeep from the University of Warwick. Warwick is a graduate-only medicine course, and so you must have already completed an undergraduate degree to apply. Postgraduate medicine is a common alternative route into medicine, and many people use their 5th choice option on UCAS to secure a place on an undergraduate course with the aim of becoming a doctor through a postgraduate degree. The graduate medicine programme at Warwick is a 4-year accelerated programme, and the entry requirements are based on your undergraduate degree (so you don’t need to have AAA at A Level to apply). For 2021 entry, you must have an undergraduate degree at 2:1 or above, a UCAT score and 70 hours of work experience. The lowest UCAT score considered by their selection centre was 2570 in 2019. Listen to this episode to hear all about how students really find the course and get some top tips on how to get in! Comment any questions for Bhavdeep on her post on Instagram @howtobecomeadr!
