How'd She Do That? - A podcast by Emily Landers - Tuesdays

Categories:

On today's episode of How'd She Do That? host Emily Landers welcomes Buru Founder, Morgan Hutchinson onto the show! Morgan started BURU after becoming a mother for the first time and quickly discovered that her wardrobe needed a refresh. She scoured online shops, high-end boutiques, and big box stores for wardrobe essentials that offered easy access in washable fabrics, with little success. So, with the help of her husband and now full-time business partner, Brett, Morgan put her former styling and lingerie designer experience to use as they founded BURU.  Through several evolutions, the company has hit its stride with Morgan exclusively designing every collection with moms and working women in mind. And while 50% of the production remains overseas to offer an attainable price point, 50% is now produced in BURU's very own Los Angeles micro-factory that Morgan and Brett built one sewing machine at a time. (See more about BURU's factory and responsible manufacturing initiative here.) You'll love hearing more about Morgan's story, from living overseas to becoming a mother, to her many different collaborations including one with actress, Brooklyn Decker, and more! We hope you'll share this episode with - well - everyone!
