Mike Sjogren did all the right things. He got the grades, the degree, and a decent job. He had a good life. It all changed when Mike’s son was born with a health condition. Having to trade time away from his family for a paycheck to pay the bills, Mike soon realized that change is needed. That’s when Mike and his wife, Krysten, went on to create Occupied, LLC, a national short-term rental management company in 2017. A mere 18 months later, their short term rental portfolio replaced their income.
