Strive to enter by the Narrow Gate

In Your Presence - A podcast by Eric Nicolai

Luke 13, 22-30: Strive to enter by the narrow door, because, I tell you, many will try to enter and will not succeed. Who are these many? It seems limited to a certain type of people, even if many are called. The person has to adapt himself, he has to be a certain way in order to enter. It is a call to conversion. I want to pass through that door Lord. The narrow door of fidelity to my vocation. But maybe the focus should not be on whether the door is narrow, but that we ought to strive to enter. Preached at Lyncroft Centre, August 21, 2022. Music: Handel, Opera Rinaldo, Aria "Lascia ch'io pianga", arranged for guitar by Bert Alink Thumbnail: Jan Luyken and others, The Narrow Gate, 1690s.
