A new generation of teens is experimenting with a new set of "designer drugs." Most parents are unaware of many of these new drugs, and the vary so greatly in their composition, that even experts struggle to track them. Here are the basics every parent needs to know. Teens running away from home and using the Internet in both constructive and destructive ways is a fairly new phenomenon. In this segment we discuss what parents and educators need to know about this trend. Eric Rice joined the USC School of Social Work faculty in 2009. He is an expert in social network theory, social network analysis, and the application of social network methods to HIV prevention research. Rice's current work focuses on developing an online social networking, HIV prevention program for homeless youth funded through a grant from National Institute of Mental Health.
