Why is web3 still not widely adopted?

I recorded this episode with Hyperlane's founder for Sovereign Radio and subsequently reposting it to my own channels.Hyperlane is an interoperability protocol and an alternative to IBC. This conversation just barely scratches the surface about Hyperlane and is in fact not about Hyperlane at all. More important than the technicals, we articulate what phenomenon is stunting web3's development. Hint: it's a cultural one.Despite having existed just shy of 15 years, the crypto space has undergone radical transformation. The tinkerers within it appear to be building under some subversive make-token-price-go-up pressure at the center of a speculative panopticon. The feedback loop awards "good" behavior (uponly), while punishing bad (token price down). In spite of such subversive incentives that seem to have worked only as well as to attract the most prolific of grifters, the space continues to innovate.
