For many years there has been an increase in the consumption of plastic. When it’s not disposed of correctly it breaks down into tiny particles that do not biodegrade. It’s a major environmental issue, every year about 42 000 tons of microplastics are released into the Environnement. The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has been working since January 2019 on a restriction for products containing microplastics.
