Every Monday during the 2024 NRL season, It's Only Sport host Martin Devlin is joined by one of the best rugby league analysts going around - former Warriors coach and Kiwis representative Tony Kemp. This week to kick things off, Marty and Kempy go through the weekend round-up where they cover off the main talking points across the opening eight matches, which saw a number of sides who missed the finals in 2023 - such as the Manly Sea Eagles and North Queensland Cowboys - notch wins. Then it's Up the Wahs, where the pair dedicate an extended period of time talking Warriors. It's already a loaded segment after the first week of the season as the Warriors suffered a surprise 16-12 defeat at home to the Cronulla Sharks - does that result suggest the club could struggle to make the top four? Kempy hands out the Effluex clean-up award for the player, coach or team who did their job better than anyone else - someone who rolled up the sleeves and turned gunk into gold.
