Researchers have been conducting cutting-edge research that has the potential to significantly alter the field of medicine forever. There is certainly more work to be done, but the current state of research provides optimism for the future of psychedelics. The hurdle for the future of psychedelic medicine seems not to be the science, but the inherently puritanical society that has resisted bringing drugs into the mainstream.
