When running a business, you should have a deep understanding of the work you do and be able to help and fix problems at any time. In episode 235 of Journey to $100 Million, listen in to Kevin as he talks about how he recently stepped in to help out operations and do some of the dirty work himself! We recently have been redesigning Array Digital’s services and home page. Kevin saw the team struggling with what they should do, and felt compelled to step in and do some of the work himself. Kevin decided to go back to his roots and do some design, developing, and coding. He was able to come up with some solutions that were well received by the team. In addition, Erik helped out with some of the copy, while our web developer, Jason, optimized the pages while also making it mobile-friendly. These new pages were crucial for prospects in order to provide the information they need to make a decision whether or not to reach out and work with us. Sometimes, you have to go back to your roots, jump in to do some of the work, and show the team that you can help if need be. Sometimes your employees need a little guidance to get them back on track. It was nice for Kevin to get back into the work for a minute, but moving forward he knows our team can handle it. At the end of the day, it is beneficial for everyone to know that if things go sideways, Kevin can jump back in and help out. — Erik J. Olson is an award-winning digital marketer & entrepreneur.
