We recently just lost a contract - but like any failure, we consider this to be feedback. We realized a big part of this loss was due to the fact that we were not properly tracking our deliverables. We were tracking the activities we were performing, but we were not tracking the deliverables, and when those deliverables were required. We learned that we must know the date that something is due, and track that separately from the actual activity of doing it.
