Jrodconcerts: The Podcast - A podcast by Jamie A Rodriguez

Using and thriving on passionate songwriting, country sweetness and filthy musical chops, Boy Named Banjo are the kind of authentic, rebels the music world needed. The band, which has been together in some iteration since members were in high school, is comprised of Barton Davies (banjo), Ford Garrard (bass/upright bass), Sam McCullough (drums) Willard Logan (mandolin, acoustic/electric guitar) and William Reames (acoustic guitar/harmonica). William and Willard played in a middle school garage rock band together, but it wasn’t until William met Barton in high school English class that Boy Named Banjo started to take shape. The energy and enthusiasm never falter, and with it, the skyrocketing popularity of the band which in short order has made them critical and fan favorites. Join us as we have an in-depth conversation about the band's genesis, writing a song, breaking the barrier with live audiences, the hunger of the band, and more.
