When Dorothy Stratten arrived in Hollywood as a shy, naive 18-year-old, she had never even been on a plane before. By 19, she had been named Playboy Magazine's 1980 Playmate of the Year, and started booking acting jobs in film and TV, with many believing she would be the first Playmate to achieve 'mainstream' success.
