022: Postpartum Recovery and Tips for Those First Few Weeks

Kindred Conversations - A podcast by Paris Tews and Brittany Frye - Fridays

Categories:

We finally got around to recording a discussion on one of our most requested topics: Navigating those first few weeks postpartum! This phase can be so blissfully beautiful but can often bring with it a level of sadness, exhaustion, discomfort in our more... fragile... areas, and just a whole lot of hormonal dysfunction.  We are both well acquainted with the idea of childhood (and especially the newborn phase) passing all too quickly. Unfortunately, that well-intentioned commentary can add to the pressure in those first few days and weeks. We want to take some of that pressure off of new moms (whether for the first time, or the sixth) by giving you the permission you need to feel all of your feelings and navigate this phase as you see fit. That may mean quickly or slowly, with a full calendar or an empty one, in your bed or on your walking trail, with a bottle in tow or a full breast, and hopefully it can always be full of patience and grace toward yourself and your baby.  Mentioned in this episode: Babywise If you enjoyed this episode of Kindred Conversations it would mean the world if you would subscribe and leave us a review!
