What are your feelings about discounting? If you are like a lot of lash artists I talk to, many people feel discounting their services hurts their brand. I'd say that is true if you are fully booked out for three months and every time you raise your prices, your books stay full. If your name in your community is gold like this, then yes discounting will hurt your brand. That all said, I'm going to assume there are enough of you out there who are newer and are trying to build your following...or maybe you have a couple of new team members you've trained and they are not busy yet...or maybe it's January or August and things are just a little slower in these months (or maybe you have been dealing with this freakin pandemic and clients are scared to come in). If this sounds like you, then discounting your services can be a great way to attract people to you when done correctly. In this episode, I explain why you should start looking into discounting your services, how you should discount, when you should discount, and why knowing your lifetime value of a client is so important. My hope is you'll take this "discount tool" off the shelf, dust it off, and put it back in your tool belt (why am I using a woodshop analogy?). When you are building your business, you want to have every tool at your disposal.
