You work hard to be a great lash artist or lash salon owner, and we want to honor the best of the best at the LASHCONference. In this episode, we unpack one of our new additions to the LASHCONference...THE LASHIES! "What are the Lashies? Is this like the Oscars? If I win will I meet Chirs Pratt?" Yes, this event is like the Oscars but it's for lash artists instead...and sadly no you won't meet Chris Pratt (we might get his brother Biff Pratt to come though!). This competition is not a popularity contest...the winners will win based on their merit! Anyone can win...all you need to do is submit an application. Here are some details. If you are a solo artist, you need to enter the SOLO LASH ARTIST division and if you are a salon owner (you have at least one employee) you need to enter the LASH SALON OWNER division. In each division, there are five categories. You can enter any number of categories. Each category essay will be rated by multiple anonymous judges. If your essay scores at the top of its category, you will receive a Lashies Award. There can and most likely be more than one winner in each category. For example, we don’t believe there is just one person who is best at “customer service”. Instead, we believe that many business owners can demonstrate excellence in any of our five categories. The application fee is $50. Winners will be announced on September 27, 2021. We will host the first annual Lashies on Sunday night November 7, 2021, at the LASHCONference.
