If you are like me, I don't lose a lot of sleep worrying about someone hacking my social media accounts or stealing my identity. Why do you think I sleep well at night not being concerned about these things? Because I'm WAY too trusting which means I'm actually a prime candidate to have someone hack one of my accounts. Until recently I never added two-factor authentication and if someone forced me to do that, I'd get annoyed (not too bright I know). In today's episode, Melissa Rudolphi of "Lash Like a Pro" fame, shares how her account got hacked and held for a ransom. It's a crazy story and something that can happen to anyone. Melissa also goes into what you need to do to protect your IG account and what to look for from potential scammers. The lesson of the story here is do not be like me, and don't trust anyone online (unless it's me asking for your banking info...I'm very trustworthy). This is a good episode and I hope when it's over you'll make every account you have online use the two-factor authentication process...yes it's a pain in the but losing your IG account you spent 5 years building would be an even bigger pain.
