Every women needs to listen to this

Last Drinks - A podcast by Maz Compton - Sundays

Categories:

Kath Elliot is a breast cancer survivor. Kath navigated cancer, chemo and change without alcohol. Kath used to drink like most people, all through her early twenties and thirties, a grey area drinker, where nothing crazy happened. Yet she eventually tired of the hangovers and lost memories of the night before and decided to go sober. It was a few weeks later she would receive the news of a harrowing breast cancer diagnosis and her whole world would spin on a different axis. Maz and Kath talk about the links between drinking and increased cancer risk and have a very raw conversation about the lack of education of these inherent and problematic health risks alcohol consumption can cause. Kath, in remission and healthier than ever, attributes her sobriety to the discovery that more needs to be done to educate women of the impacts alcohol can have on their health and cancer risk.
