Minter Dialogue Episode #332Dr Mark Rosekind is Chief Safety Officer at Zoox, developing the first ground-up, fully autonomous vehicle fleet and the supporting ecosystem required to bring this technology to market. Zoox aims to provide the next generation of mobility-as-a-service in urban environments, on a mission to make the road far safer. Mark started out as a FSR at Stanford University, and we met when he was a fellow at Yale, teaching my first ever course on sleep. He then worked on sleep & fatigue at NASA, was a president-appointed board member at the  National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) in the US, before becoming administrator (top dog) of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). In this chat, we talk about the importance of sleep, its academic evolution, and his experience and learnings in the various functions he's held over his hugely fascinating career. Please send me your questions as an audio file or text to [email protected]; or you can find the show notes and comment on minterdial.com.
