228. Advice for Making a Growth Plan for This Summer

Let's Parent on Purpose: Christian Marriage, Parenting, and Discipleship - A podcast by Jay Holland and Christian Parenting

Hopefully this summer allows you time to rest, relax, and recuperate. But it also provides a season to grow, improve your walk with Jesus, your health, or your relationships. This week Jay provides a Summer Growth Worksheet as well as a set of reminders on what sets us up for successful transformation. Remember the following:   1. If you have too many goals, you’re more likely to fail across the board.   2. An end of summer goal should be challenging, but reasonable.   3. Your goal should consist of daily (or multiple) very doable baby steps.   4. Reward yourself every day you take your daily step.   5. Find a partner or family member to share your plan.   6. Success gives momentum for success.   Resources Mentioned:   Your Summer Growth Plan: http://www.letsparentonpurpose.com/wp- content/uploads/2017/06/Summer-Growth-Plan.pdf   Your Future Self Will Thank You with Drew Dyck: https:// www.letsparentonpurpose.com/2021/01/03/your-future-self-will-thank- you-with-drew-dyck/   How to Start or Stop Any Habit: https://www.letsparentonpurpose.com/ 2019/06/09/how-to-start-or-stop-any-habit/   The Surprising Power of Small Changes: https:// www.letsparentonpurpose.com/2019/06/02/the-surprising-power-of- small-changes/   Falling in Love with the Process: https://www.letsparentonpurpose.com/ 2019/06/16/falling-in-love-with-the-process/   Become a Supporter of Let’s Parent on Purpose! www.letsparentonpurpose.com/support
