030. "I was stuck in the diet mentality": Kathy

Life After Sugar - A podcast by Netta - Sundays

Categories:

Kathy had followed every diet out there. Sure, she was able to follow the rules for a while, but then she "fell off the wagon". She was used to tracking and following a meal plan, but what she wasn't used to was thinking for herself.  But when she joined the Life After Sugar Program, she started looking at things completely differently. Yes, there's a food list and recipes, but at first, she wasn't ready to look at them. When Kathy first signed up, she was uncomfortable with this new way of thinking because this gentle approach is opposite to the diet mentality. For example, there's no hard and fast rules, and no "leader" (although Kathy did feel guided and encouraged). She also learned to respect her own personality, to read and think and question information she was presented with. And the support of the others in the group was what held her accountable and helped her implement what she learned in the After Sugar Club.In this episode, Kathy talks about her own background with diets, as well as how free she feels now.  To learn more about the Life After Sugar Program, go here: https://aftersugarclub.com/program1/ To rate and review this podcast: scroll down in your podcast player on your phone and click on the stars.
