Exercise faith by serving and teaching.

Live to Love Scripture Encouragement - A podcast by Norm Wakefield

Romans 12:7 if service, in his serving; or he who teaches, in his teaching; In today’s live to love scripture encouragement, those of us with grace gifts to serve and teach are spurred into action along with our brothers and sisters in Rome. What is it that moves us? It was stated in the previous verse. It is the faith allotted to us by the mercies of God. We can best discern what we are to do or teach based upon if it is an expression of God’s love for His people. We can ask ourselves as we give what we have received, “Is this for the person’s highest good, namely, that they will glorify God by being most satisfied in Jesus? Will the service or teaching I have received to give encourage and edify them to reveal the life of Christ? Will it encourage and equip them to live to love with Jesus for the glory of God? That’s the bullseye at which faith aims. It s eye is fixed on Jesus. God is working all things together so that we may be conformed to the image of His son (Rom. 8:28-29). Many of you who are listening will experience these two gifts today as you live to love with Jesus. May you exercise them with joy and hope. You can expect Jesus to be glorified on that great day of the Lord because today’s offering is a living, holy sacrifice, an expression of spiritual service, which is and will be acceptable to God. Isn’t that encouraging?! Receive from Jesus, then give it generously and freely. Acknowledgment: Music from “Carried by the Father” by Eric Terlizzi. www.ericterlizzi.com
