Jesus accepted us for the glory of God

Live to Love Scripture Encouragement - A podcast by Norm Wakefield

Romans 15:7 Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God. We are encouraged today to accept our brothers and sisters with their weaknesses as one aspect of living to love with Jesus. “Therefore” means that this encouragement reasonably flows out of our glorifying God with one voice. We might think of it this way. Since we have as our ambition to please the Lord and glorify God, because we are all members of the body of Christ and of one another as a result of His great mercies, and since Jesus accepted us to the glory of God, we accept one another. Thinking of this truth of accepting one another this way is encouraging. Jesus is accepting us all for the glory of God, and we accept one another with Him. We are in this purpose of glorifying God together with Him. That’s why I think our purpose in life is living to love with Jesus. Accepting us on that basis of God’s mercy and grace is how Jesus glorifies His Father, so we also accept one another as the outworking of the gospel. “Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God.”
