Live in the freedom of Christ

Romans 4:14 For if those who are of the Law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise is nullified; Are you one of those who wake up everyday feeling like a failure? Do you feel overwhelmed with the burden of having to do the right thing and not sin? If so, my encouragement today for you is that those sentiments are not those of Jesus Christ, who lives in you. If you are justified by faith in Jesus Christ, then the faith God has given you tells you that the Law’s demands of you have been made void. He has chosen, out of His great mercy and love to fulfill the Law for you in Jesus, His Son. To continue to live under the heavy burden of the Law is to make faith void and to nullify the promise of God that the righteous by faith are heirs of eternal life. In giving us Jesus, God has given us the Source of Love to dwell within us. God’s love fulfills the Law of God. Paul told the Galatians that the whole Law could be summed up in one word—love. Living to love with Jesus removes the fear and burden of the Law. As we surrender our lives to Him and give Him full access to all that we are, Jesus loves through us. Trusting in Jesus’ life and love sets us free from, nullifies, our fear of condemnation. So take courage today. Love fulfills the Law and sets us free to enjoy life and people.
