Ponder the riches of God’s mercy.

Live to Love Scripture Encouragement - A podcast by Norm Wakefield

Romans 3:30 since indeed God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith is one. The God of the Jews and the God of the Gentiles is the same God. Later in Romans 10:12-13, Paul wrote, “For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for “WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.” Paul had stated that there is a new law established by God for the justification of sinners—the law of faith. We will discover later that the reason God justifies by faith is so that salvation may be all for the glory of God since it is according to grace and not works. Paul reiterated that God is not partial and makes no distinctions between the Jews, who were His people, and those who were not Jews. Now all who believe in Jesus Christ are God’s people, recipients of His grace. Paul gave more insight into what motivated God to contrive such a means of salvation in Eph. 2:4-5 when he wrote, “But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved).” God is love, and because of His great love, He justified us all in Christ through faith. I hope you pause today and consider God’s great love for you revealed in Jesus Christ. Consider all of your sins of a lifetime and be amazed and grateful that God has taken them out of the way. Ponder the riches of God’s mercy that has provided for you a grace place in which you stand before God. Then with those things in mind, love others as He has loved you. When you live to love with Jesus like that, you are bringing God glory. Acknowledgment: Music from “Carried by the Father” by Eric Terlizzi. www.ericterlizzi.com
