Prophecy fulfilled in our lifetimes as we live to love with Jesus.

Live to Love Scripture Encouragement - A podcast by Norm Wakefield

Romans 9:25 As He says also in Hosea, “I will call those who were not My people, ‘My people,’ And her who was not beloved, ‘beloved.’” We learn from Paul to base our lives and our doctrine on the Scriptures. In this verse, Paul bolstered his point from the previous verse by quoting the prophet Hosea. He had said that God endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction in order to “make known the riches of His glory upon vessels of mercy, which He prepared beforehand for glory, even us, whom He also called, not from among Jews only, but also from among Gentiles.” God spoke to Hosea and told him that He would love a people who were not descendants of Abraham in the flesh. They were not God’s people, otherwise known as Gentiles, but they would become His people. He calls them out to Himself like He did Abraham. They were not a people who were loved by God, but through Jesus Christ, they would be loved as His own. I call this podcast the Live to Love Scripture encouragements because we believe God’s word is the light to our paths. Jesus is the living word, the light of the world as John wrote in 1:4. “In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.” Jesus’ life is the source of our lives, and as we live to love with Him, we shine forth His light in a dark world of people who were not His people and who have not been loved. God has chosen to call some of those “not my people” and “not beloved” to Himself through us as we love in His name. May we let His light shine in the darkness so that Hosea’s prophecy may continue to be fulfilled in our lifetimes.
