Trust God and surrender to His guidance.

Romans 11:34 For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who became His counselor? These last three verses of Rom. 11 are powerful and convicting. Have you ever thought you knew better than God how to run the affairs of your life in this world? Have you ever thought you were sure about what God thinks about a person, a series of events, or yourself? Have you considered yourself to have a right to speak to God and advise Him in any matter when you thought He needed help? Of course Paul’s questions in this verse should be answered, “No one has known the mind of the Lord or been His counselor because we are not capable of even beginning to understand his wisdom, knowledge, judgments, and ways. One of the foundational truths about loving God and others is that it’s impossible to love Him and love with Him if we don’t trust like Jesus trusts. Jesus trusts the mind of God and is completely surrendered to the will of the Father. His life is in us. He is the vine, and we are the branches. As we trust God’s wisdom and knowledge, we are free to receive what He gives to Jesus in us and respond in faith and love with Him. Additionally, the humility of Christ which submits to the counsel of the Holy Spirit in any given instance or in a relationship, will enable us to experience and express His love more freely. Let this verse encourage you to trust the Lord more and receive His guidance more fully as you live to love with Jesus.
