We boast in the love of God.

Live to Love Scripture Encouragement - A podcast by Norm Wakefield

Romans 3:20 because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin. What does the Law speak to mankind? It tells us what sin is so we can see that we cannot justify ourselves in the sight of a God who judges righteously. We have nothing to boast about before God. Quite the contrary. As we look at God’s Law, we realize God looks at us through His Law and we are found wanting and thus worthy of condemnation and death. Even as I say these things, my soul breathes a deep sigh of relief. We who live to love with Jesus do not plan on boasting in our own righteousness. We know we are not justified by our good works. We don’t love others to justify ourselves before God. We boast in the love of God revealed in Jesus Christ who justified us on the grounds of grace through faith. Because His love has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, we consider it a privilege to love others in His name for His glory.
