We reveal God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ.

1 John 4:9 By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. The love of God is manifested to the world in us as we live through Jesus Christ. Jesus was sent into the world for the purpose of giving eternal life to those who are His. His resurrection proves that He is life, and our living in this world through Him shows the world that He still lives. When we stop and meditate on this truth, we should be awe-struck, amazed, and grateful. John continued the point that those who love with God’s love know Him. He said that those who live through Him, which is the same as living with Him, manifest or show God’s love. How do we live through Jesus? We live our lives through His purpose, which was and is to love with His Father. We live our lives filtering all of life through Jesus’ worldview. Every situation and relationship is filtered through 3 unchanging realities. 1). There is only one God from whom are all things and He is love. 2). Jesus’ love is enough. His love satisfies the deepest desires of my soul. If I have Him, I am content. 3). God’s purpose in all things in my life is to reveal Jesus and His love in this world for His glory. As we live to love with Him, we are manifesting His love, the sustained direction of the will toward the highest good of those He puts in our paths, in the power of the Holy Spirit, for God’s glory. In so doing, God’s purpose for His Son and His purpose for us is fulfilled. This shows His love in us. Have you realized that living to love with Jesus is the proof that God sent His Son and that He lives? Do you realize the significance of your life in this world and in God’s administration of His kingdom? We are one with Jesus, with His purpose, with His mindset, and with His glory. Now that’s encouraging!
