What a day it will be when the bulk of the nation of Israel comes to Christ!

Live to Love Scripture Encouragement - A podcast by Norm Wakefield

Romans 11:15 For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? Can you recall a time when you were thrilled by the salvation of someone you loved? Your heart filled with joy, and you gave glory to God. This verse is so encouraging because it foretells what Paul later speaks about in vs. 25. “For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery-so that you will not be wise in your own estimation-that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.” This helps us see the line of reason in Paul’s letter. We know where He is going. He’s an apostle to the Gentiles and as yet, the fullness of the Gentiles incorporated into the body of Christ isn’t complete. Until then, the Jews as a nation, seem to be dead, rejected, and hopelessly lost. However, there is coming a day, a time before Jesus returns, after the fullness of the Gentiles is complete, that the bulk of the nation of Israel will be converted to Christ and come into the church. It will confirm our faith because it is a glorious proof that the Scriptures are inspired by God. We, as God’s people, the body of Jesus Christ, have been believing this and waiting for it to happen. We believe that nothing is impossible with God. In spite of all the appearances that national Israel is hopelessly trapped in their unbelief, we look to this great fulfillment of God’s promise to Abraham. When we witness this incredible event where God pours out His Spirit in and upon the nation of Israel, it will be so wonderful, incredible, and miraculous as someone being raised from the dead—like Lazarus. I hope this encourages us all to hasten this day by loving with Jesus both Jew and Gentile. Our calling is to love with Him in faith, trusting in God’s great plan to bring in the fullness of the Gentiles and then fulfill His word and bring in the fullness of the Jews. Let’s look forward to that day! In fact, Peter wrote that we are to hasten that day’s coming by how we live with Jesus (2 Pet. 3:11). Just imagine hearing in the news of this great move of God in Israel and around the world in Jewish communities. Millions of Jews being accepted into the church as their eyes and ears are opened to the gospel and they behold their Messiah, surrender their lives to Him, and join us, Gentiles, at the foot of the cross in worship.
