Emotions don't come from thoughts. This is something I have been playing around with more and more recently.  Now of course, the idea that thoughts create our emotions is a great tool to help us get leverage. For example When I think I'm doing a bad job- I can feel shame When I think something might go wrong- I might feel fear. However, there's also times that I'm sure you've experienced, where you experience an emotion and you have no idea why. And yet, you spend time trying to figure out the story or thought that might be creating that emotion. It doesn't work. Emotions are created by a combination of body, mind and environment. Learning and understanding this can help us stop trying to 'fix' emotions, but learning to more fully be aware, validate and accept them. Today I want to share the model I use to get you out of your head, and focusing on the thoughts and more focused on your emotions. Check it out. 🤯 🔗Get full episode show notes at here
