Myth #4 covers the myth that we can only feel or process one emotion at a time. This myth makes sense when we consider the analogy of the beach ball. You can't hold down two balls at the same time. So when we consider having to process two emotions- we can see where the overwhelm comes into play. However when we discuss processing your emotions- we aren't talking about resisting them. We aren't talking about having to control them either. We're talking about learning to allow them on top of the water so you can have several emotions in there at the same time. This is where the power of the word 'AND' comes into play. Learning to apply this to emotion work opens us up to seeing that we can feel Anxiety AND feel present at the same time. Opening up to one makes space for creating another. Learn how you can use the 'AND' more in your life and how it can help you process those emotions even more. 🔗You can get the show notes here
