The off-season Avalanche train continues to roll early on as the 2nd round pick the Colorado Avalanche picked up from the Montreal Canadiens in the Alex Newhook deal, was flipped to the Tampa Bay Lightning Wednesday morning for forward Ross Colton. Then it was draft time, and the Avs held on to both of their 1st round picks and selected center Calum Ritchie at pick 27, then Mikhail Gulyayev at 31.
