Oh! How we were looking forward to this game. An early season matchup between two powerhouse teams that are expected to do some damage in the playoffs and compete for the Stanley Cup. But after the Colorado Avalanche left Las Vegas after a 7-0 thumping to the Golden Knights, these are two teams that while their records may be very good, are playing at two different levels right now. The Avalanche, while they might be 7-3-0, have been struggling to get anything past goalies lately. That's not to say they haven't been getting opportunities, they have. It's just the finishing, which is non-existent at the moment. The Golden Knights just seem to have the Midas touch at the moment, while the Avalanche have the Devils kiss.
