Every Avalanche fan knows how important Pierre Lacroix was to those early years when the team moved from Quebec to Colorado. Lacroix knew how important it was to put a winning team on the ice ASAP. If there was a trade involving a big name, chances are Lacroix was somehow in the mix. He knew how to do his job and he knew how to do it well. When people think of the Colorado Avalanche they understandably think of names like Roy, Forsberg or MacKinnon. People who follow the Avalanche day in and day out would also put Pierre Lacroix on that list. He was as responsible for winning those Stanley Cups as the players he put on the ice.
