Playing wihtout Mike Conley, Lauri Markkanen's fast starts, transition defense and league trends

The Utah Jazz loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night despite much improved half court defense because they allowed way to high a rate of transition and successful transition. With that said it was a strong effort for a team without Mike Conley and a team playing its 3rd game in 4 nights again. Lauri Markkanen continues to do big things early in games averaging 8 points per first quarter over the past 6 games. Jordan Clarkson continues to show his incredible basketball IQ and all of his abilities. The Jazz are playing without Mike Conley and it is a big burden on Collin Sexton and Talen Horton Tucker to pick up those minutes for the Jazz. They are both developing and it is forcing a different type of coaching for Will Hardy. Time to look at league trends and the Sacramento Kings and the New Orleans Pelicans are figuring this out.
