How Much Would the Lakers Improve if They Trade for Myles Turner, Buddy Hield? Guest, Tony East

Locked On Lakers - Daily Podcast On The Los Angeles Lakers - A podcast by Locked On Podcast Network, Andy and Brian Kamenetzky

The Lakers have been trying hard to improve their roster, and no trade seems as available as one with Indiana, where the Lakers would send out Russell Westbrook and a couple first rounders for Buddy Hield and Myles Turner. Without question, Hield's perimeter shooting and supplementary scoring would come in handy for a team that lacks a lot of the former, especially. But the more intriguing player, the one the Lakers would be sacrificing that second pick to get, is Turner. Only 26, he's a rangy shot-blocker with a good offensive game and a reasonable outside shot. He would fit on both ends next to Anthony Davis. He's young enough to sign to an extension that makes sense for the Lakers. So would it be worth giving up all the stuff the Lakers have left to get him, along with Hield? Tony East, host of Locked on Pacers, joins the show to break it all down. How did Indiana get here? Why aren't they interested in keeping Turner themselves, given his relative youth? What would the Lakers get in Turner were they to acquire him? Would Turner be worth a long-term investment? How about Buddy Hield, who did a lot of stuff in Indiana he didn't do so well in Sacramento (while, ironically, his 3-point shooting slumped relative to career norms). So would that stuff translate to Los Angeles, too? There's a ton to cover, and we break it all down. HOSTS: Andy and Brian Kamenetzky, Guest Tony East SEGMENT 1: What are the Pacers looking for in a trade? SEGMENT 2: Why do they seem so dead set on trading Turner? Couldn't they keep him themselves? What does it mean that they (apparently) aren't? SEGMENT 3: What do the Lakers get if they trade for Turner? For Hield? Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!
