LeBron James Scores 43 Points as the Lakers Beat Hornets, but Russell Westbrook Injured.

Locked On Lakers - Daily Podcast On The Los Angeles Lakers - A podcast by Locked On Podcast Network, Andy and Brian Kamenetzky

The Lakers needed a win in Charlotte to finish out the road trip, and they got it. 121-115 over the (very, very bad) Hornets, behind yet another MVP-caliber performance from LeBron James, whose hot streak is rolling on unabated. 43 points, 11 rebounds, six assists. 16-26 from the floor, including 0-5 from 3-point range, giving an idea of just how strong James was from inside the arc (and at the rim, particularly). Over the team's last 10 games, James is averaging 33.4 points on 58 percent shooting. He's certainly keeping the Lakers afloat without Anthony Davis... ...but how long exactly can James keep this going, at this level? Are the minutes unsustainable (up around 40 in the last two, close to 37 overall over the last month)? One wrinkle - Russell Westbrook left Monday's game with a foot injury, and his status going forward isn't known. While the Lakers have had some problems getting those two working at maximum efficiency, not having Westbrook at all would put that much more pressure on James to keep them afloat, and playing at pace. Nobody speeds the team up like Westbrook can. Troy Brown Jr. continues his good run of play, hitting four threes vs. the Hornets. So is his spot in the starting lineup firmed up at this point, especially with Lonnie Walker IV ailing (and slumping)? What about Austin Reaves? And Thomas Bryant seems to be providing the type of consistency and predictability coaching staffs love. Another huge game on Monday, with production mixed with hustle and energy helping bolster the attack. The man is figuring out how to play with LeBron, that's for sure. HOSTS: Andy and Brian Kamenetzky SEGMENT 1: The Lakers win behind another massive game from LeBron. SEGMENT 2: What happens if Westbrook can't play? What does Troy Brown need to do to keep a starting gig? SEGMENT 3: Why Darvin's choices are hard, and why Bryant may owe LeBron a cut of his next contract. Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!
