The Lakers are Reportedly Consulting Phil Jackson As They Look for a New Head Coach

So the Lakers don't appear to be in a big hurry to replace Frank Vogel with a new head coach, but as names like Quin Snyder, Darvin Ham, Nick Nurse, and others swirl around, another familiar one has surfaced as an old friend has been enlisted to help them find the right guy. Phil Jackson. Yes! Phil Jackson! What exactly can Phil bring to the coaching search? He is, by all accounts, close to Nurse, who would undoubtedly be a huge get for the purple and gold (if, and it's a big if, they could convince Toronto to let him go). On the other hand, how connected is Phil to the slate of available candidates out there? And more importantly, what does it mean that the Lakers keep going back to the same people over and over and over, and seem unable to reach outside the proverbial family for any sort of guidance?
