Evgeni Malkin Reaches a Milestone While the Maple Leafs Lose a Legend

The Pittsburgh Penguins recently celebrated Evgeni Malkin's 1,000th career NHL game and it was a fitting celebration for an all-time great player who continues to be productive. Maple Leafs legend Borje Salming passed away at the age of 71 due to ALS. Salming had just been in Toronto for the Hockey Hall of Fame weekend and it was sadly a final goodbye from the fans who got to show their appreciation for the pioneer from Sweden.
