Pittsburgh Steelers MUST Prioritize Finding New Defensive Back Star in Draft or Free Agency in 2022

But all their additions have been about smoothing out the depth chart. Now, they need star power. Mike Tomlin and Kevin Colbert need to make it a priority to either sign Tyrann Mathieu in free agency, or make a major addition to the secondary in the early rounds of the NFL Draft. Cornerbacks like Derek Stingly Jr. and Andrew Booth Jr. could be true game changers in coverage while safeties like Daxton Hill, Jaquan Brisker and Lewis Cine would make a very athletic safety group if combined with the return of Terrell Edmunds and superstar safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. Also, which remaining free agents should the Steelers be looking at? Veteran receivers like Jarvis Landry and running backs like Marlon Mack could be important and cheaper signings.
