Lovecars On the Grid. Global Motorsport Podcast - A podcast by With Tiff Needell and Paul Woodman

Welcome to the Lovecars On The Grid Podcast, where our presenters, Tiff Needell and Paul Woodman bring us a motorsport roundup from the past week!   We have WRC, Formula E and single seater updates this week! But of course, we start with Formula 1 news, where FIA president, Mohammed Ben Sulayem has announced that he will not get as involved in Formula 1. The announcement comes after the FIA President caused more controversy over his sexism comments.    Max Verstappen will appear in the upcoming Netflix series, Drive To Survive. The Formula 1 World Champion has stated that he has given Netflix a 30 minute interview on last season.   In Women's Motorsport, British driver, Katherine Legge has been announced to be driving at the Indy 500 this year.  At the Formula E in India, a new motorsport Championship has been launched for 2024, named ACE Championship.   We had a really good rally in the WRC in Sweden, where we had snow and ice. Ott Tänak won the rally in his M-Sport Ford, taking the lead in the final stage from Craig Breen, a now Hyundai driver that used to drive for the Ford team.   Formula E were racing in Hyderabad in India. After blocking his fellow drivers, DS Penske's Jean-Eric Vergne brought home the win, beating Envision Racing driver Nick Cassidy in 2nd, and TAG Heuer Porsche's Antonio Felix da Costa who was given 3rd place, following a penalty to Sebastian Buemi.   In UK Motorsport, there's a proposal to penalise drivers by 1 second instantly if they put a half a tyre off the track. This would be a UK law for all motorsport taking place in the UK. Furthermore, drivers are not allowed to protest the decision.   The Formula Four and Formula Regional Middle East were in Dubai this weekend, with Ferrari academy driver, Tuukka Taponen, appearing to be a shining light in this series. In Formula Regional Middle East, Mercedes academy driver, Andrea Kimi Antonelli took his win and look to be the favourite to win the season.   In New Zealand, we had the Formula Regional Oceana, where Austrian driver, Charlie Wurz took the Championship win.  Coming up next week, we have the Daytona 500, the Formula Four and Formula Regional have their finales in Abu Dhabi.
