On episode 6 of Magical Moments Jill interviews the Co-Founder and CEO Abby Sugar and the Chief Design Officer E. Leifer of the brand Play Out! Play out is an apparel line leading the fashion industry by creating gender equal garments made sustainably!  "Play Out Apparel was created because we didn’t see ourselves reflected in existing brands and apparels. Specifically we couldn’t find underwear and streetwear that represented us or was gender inclusive, so we designed and manufactured it for ourselves.  To us, gender equal shopping is not about erasing pronouns/gender identity; it’s about removing the categories that tell you what you should or should not wear based on them".The Play Out Mission is to positively impact queer visibility and represent queer celebration. Queer people, gender nonconforming, and transgender individuals deserve to see themselves joyously reflected in clothing and brands. The Play Out Team are queer, lesbian, gay, trans and non-binary owned. They represent those words with care and with an openness to continue to evolve and serve our community and beyond.AND Play out is ethical and sustainable! They manufacture product in Mexico and work with a woman owned factory that employs and pays a living wage to LGBTQ+ workers and workers over 50.  They reduce our carbon footprint by designing with materials and notions that have been left behind at our manufacturer by larger companies. We utilize as many of those recycled materials as possible.
