We often think that forgiveness means we are somehow saying what happened is okay. I help this caller reframe forgiveness as energetically detaching from the negativity of the situation in order to create a new portal toward healing. I also share some tactics to help find forgiveness, such as acknowledging our humanity in order to see someone else’s humanity. This isn’t an easy or quick solution, but it does start to guide us toward our humanness and open us up to the idea of forgiveness. I recommend this caller to drop into a meditation to consistently work through triggers and stuck emotion.
