JetBlue and Spirit’s merger is not cleared for takeoff

A federal judge has blocked JetBlue’s efforts to purchase Spirit Airlines. The Justice Department had filed an antitrust lawsuit, saying the merger would eliminate a low-cost carrier that has been keeping airfares down.
