Mostly Weather: A deep dive into rain

Met Office - A podcast by Met Office

Met Office scientists take a lively look at the fascinating history and science of weather and climate research. After a short hiatus, the Mostly Weather podcast returns to investigate a subject dear to the British public’s hearts – rain. To start, as is tradition, we identify what exactly rain is and look at rain’s ‘recipe’. We also looks at the world's wettest areas, the different types of rainfall and how we measure it. We are also joined by climate scientist Dr Lizzie Kendon who gives us a fascinating insight into her work around the use of high-resolution models to better understand extreme rainfall. The Met Office is the United Kingdom's national weather service. The Met Office website carries the latest UK and global weather forecasts, detailed information on weather types and climate science and UK weather records for previous months, seasons and years. https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/
