On October 24th, 1961, 4-year-old Lillian Risch ran to her neighbor Barbara’s house and told her “Mommy is gone and the kitchen is covered with red paint.” When police arrived at the house, they found a bloody scene and no sign of Lillian’s mom, 31-year-old Joan Risch.
