270: Police FAILED To Protect Her During Botched Drug Sting: The Murder Of Rachel Hoffman

Mile Higher - A podcast by Mile Higher Media - Thursdays

Rachel Hoffman was a 23-year-old FSU student who was busted for marijuana and faced multiple felony charges. Tallahassee Police gave her two options - going to prison or working as a confidential informant. TPD had Rachel try to buy 1,500 ecstasy pills, 2 ounces of cocaine, and a gun - an outrageous step up from Rachel’s small-time weed deals. On May 7th, 2008, the two targets found a wire in Rachel’s purse and murdered her. And despite having lost eyes on Rachel during the sting, TPD blamed her for her own murder.
