#1976 WordPress crushed Chris Pearson

Startup Stories - Mixergy - A podcast by Andrew Warner - Fridays

About 10 years ago, I interviewed today’s guest in the only debate-style podcast episode I’ve ever done. Chris Pearson created this WordPress theme that was so freaking beautiful–down to freaking the pixel. He’s also the maker of Thesis, a modular template and design system for WordPress. I interviewed him back then about how he built up his company. And then he got into this public argument with essentially the father of WordPress, Matt Mullenweg. It really became this big thing that blew up. We’ll talk about  what happened in this interview.

Chris Pearson is the founder of DIY Themes.
